Sylvia Rose Turner is a survivor. At a young age she is forced to care for her younger siblings. With an absentee mother her only role model, any life lessons she is to learn must be self-taught. Honing her motherly instincts, she lavishes the love and admiration she has been denied onto her younger siblings, making certain they never experience neglect and loneliness.

A hardworking young man, Chance Marlow has the misfortune of becoming involved with a woman locally known as trouble. After destroying his home and defacing his classic car in an alcohol induced rage, Chance must file charges to teach this woman a lesson. Unbeknownst to him, and the other townies, Chance learns this woman is a single mother of three.

Trying desperately to look and sound older, a 14-year-old Sylvia Rose Turner begs for leniency for her mother, explaining there are two other children who depend on the woman for support. Taken with her honesty and maturity, Chance Marlow offers to help relocate the family, giving the young girl and her family a fresh start where her mother’s pasts misdeeds will not follow.

Fate brings Chance and Sylvia Rose back together several years later. Now working and living on her own, Sylvia Rose reminds Chance Marlow her success would not have been possible without his generosity. Blindly the young couple fall in love and begin an ill-advised relationship destined for failure.

Unforeseen circumstances finds Sylvia Rose Turner forced to make yet another fresh start, this time in the big city. Heartbroken, she concentrates on building a new life free from drama, dating and romance.

Fate, however, has different plans. A handsome stranger comes to Sylvia Rose’s rescue when a workplace incident causes him to transport the damsel in distress to the hospital. From the moment the handsome Cajun swoops her up into his arms, Sylvia Rose’s life will never be the same.

A life polar opposite from her youth, Sylvia Rose now lives in a large home with her loving husband, at last secure and happy.

The only certain thing in life is change. Once again misfortune strikes, leaving Sylvia Rose depressed and alone yet again.

The eyes staring back at Sylvia Rose in the mirror no longer sparkle with joy and hope. She accepts her remaining years will be spent alone, with only the haunting memories of happier times echoing throughout her large, empty and now sterile home.

History, much like life, is both circular and linear, reflecting who we were, are, and may become. Our personal histories do not define us, nor dictate what is to come. Forced to travel the vicious never-ending cycle, Sylvia Rose learns there is no defying fate. The happy future, which was always meant to be, will find you as life comes full circle.
