When he disregards the honored traditions of the oft unspoken culture which makes this city so unique, he learns there is always a price to pay, and his will be a steep one.

Following the breadcrumbs my uncle left, I fear my fate may mirror my uncle’s, as I have uncovered truths that may have been better left undisturbed.

A chill of unholy air brushes against my skin, and I am jolted upright in this old bed.
My mind races as this night proves to be a restless one. I have never believed in things I can’t see, touch, smell, or taste. As a reporter, I live my life in the real world and based on facts. I have never been a man to be swayed by the superstitious ramblings of others.
But tonight, here in the room he occupied so many years ago, something inexplicable happened, something unexplainable, and I can't shake the feeling that my Uncle may have faced these strange occurrences as well. I lie here and wonder, is that why the entries in his journal regarding his assignment in New Orleans are so cryptic?
